Currently, the BII grant program includes the following:

• Enabling German specialists to participate in professional visits abroad
• Invitation of international specialists to participate in professional visits in Germany
• Promotion of young professionals through professional visits abroad
• Organization of study excursions to Germany and to other countries
• Facilitation of international workshops, seminars, symposia and conferences
• Financial support of field-related research projects
• Financial support of German professionals to participate in international conferences
• Creation of and participation in international networks
