Winny Nekesa Akullo (Uganda Library and Information Association) and a delegation from Uganda Library branch made a study trip through Germany by end of November. Find here their reports about the trip through Germany.

23rd November the group made a stop at the BII-office in Berlin. During their study trip through Germany they visited the Library of the "Stiftung Pfennigparade" (Munich), the University Library of TU Munich and the collection of Deutsches Museum, the German Central Library for the Blind (Leipzig), the German National Library (Leipzig) and the German Library Association in the Berlin-office (Fritschestrasse) as well as the Berlin Parliament Library.

The delegation was especially interested in how the German Library Association works and Hella Klauser from dbv gave them a short overview about how librarians organise themselves in Germany and how the associations work together.

We were very happy to support Ms Nekesa Winny Akullo (Uganda Library and Information Association) and her three colleagues, who came all from various institutions in Uganda: Mr.Eric Nelson Haumba (YMCA Institute), Mr.Emmy Muhumuza (Busitema University) and Mr. Godfrey Nabongo from Uganda Bureau of Statistics.

Thank you for your visit and stay.
